Cub Scout Advancement

Bobcat

All scouts from first through fifth grade earn the Bobcat badge first. This is achieved by learning the Scout Oath and Law, the Cub Scout handshake, salute, sign, and motto. After receiving the Bobcat badge, the scouts work on requirements based on their grade level.

Lions – Kindergarten

Our Lion scouts work to complete five core adventures through hands-on, high-energy activities. Each adult partner takes a turn at leading a den meeting or an outing during the program year. When an adventure is completed, the scout receives a special recognition sticker.

Tiger – First Grade

Our Tiger scouts work to complete six core adventures and one elective adventure to earn the Tiger badge. Each adventure consists of a series of fun activities that can be completed as a den or with the scouts’ family. When an adventure is completed, the scout receives a belt loop for that adventure.

Wolf – Second Grade

Our Wolf scouts work to complete six core adventures and one elective adventure to earn the Wolf badge. Each adventure consists of a series of fun activities that can be completed as a den or with the scouts’ family. When an adventure is completed, the scout receives a belt loop for that adventure.

Bear – Third Grade

Our Bear scouts work to complete six core adventures and one elective adventure to earn the Bear badge. Each adventure consists of a series of fun activities that can be completed as a den or with the scouts’ family. When an adventure is completed, the scout receives a belt loop for that adventure.

Webelos – Fourth Grade

Our Webelos Scouts work to complete five core adventures and one elective adventure to earn the Webelos badge. Each adventure consists of a series of fun activities that can be completed as a den or with the family. When an adventure is completed, the Webelos scout receives a pin for that adventure. Adventure pins are worn on the Webelos Colors.

Arrow of Light – Fifth Grade

Our Arrow of Light scouts work to complete four core adventures and one elective adventure to earn the highest rank in cub scouting: the Arrow of Light. As with Webelos, a pin is awarded for each completed adventure.
